Cosmonautics Day is a reminder that April 12, 1961 was a real breakthrough in the history of mankind. With the launch of the first artificial earth satellite, the era of space exploration began.

Did you know that space and bees are interconnected? Today it is no secret that the honeycomb is a small model of the universe. Research carried out at the Institute of Astrophysics and Atmospheric Physics in Tartu has led to the discovery that the galaxies are arranged in an order resembling a honeycomb. And these galactic honeycombs reach the size of 100-300 million light years!

Besides, it is known that the bee flight can challenge the pilot skills, easily performing aerobatic maneuvers. Scientists from the National University in Canberra are going to use navigation system of bees to develop unmanned space research vehicles, controlled from the Earth.

That’s the bees, the major pollinators on the Earth! And they need our protection!
